"We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us - they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady. Then, when that happens, we are able to hold our heads high no matter what happens and know that all is well, for we know how dearly God loves us, and we feel this warm love everywhere within us because God has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love."

"Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the mind and healing to the body."

Word of the Week
motive ~ n: something that causes a person to act
His motive for acing the test was making honor roll.

Riddle me this . . .
There are 14 bicyles and tricycles
in the park. If the total number of wheels is 35, how many tricycles
are there?

A class from a nearby university was visiting a major drug manufacturer. The tour guide led the students to a glass- enclosed room. They could see several people in white lab coats.
With her back to the glass, the guide announced: "In this room researchers are actively searching for cures for disease."
She stopped short as the group broke out laughing. Puzzled, the guide turned to look. Through the glass she saw three scientists in animated debate, flipping through the pages of a Boston Pizza menu.

"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."

Today my oldest daughter
is attending her first dance!

Phew
talk about a rollercoaster
of emotions for me! Part of me is excited
& part of me . . . well
. . . my baby is growing up!!!!!!!!!
God, I praise You for Your mercy. I don't know how you'll help me, but I'm thankful that You will. I'm so glad You're in control. Amen

"He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God."
~ Psalm 50:23 NIV

So you have perhaps watched
the videos I placed up
before this entry
& now you are perhaps thinking . . . . mmm, what do parachutes & Yugo's have in common?
Welllllllll
. . . I wonder that myself . . .
see where I reside we got a wee bit of woods
over there, and over there, and hey some more over there as well . . . splotches I guess would be the best way to describe it . . . my oldest daughter
is wanting to make a Home Zombie
Movie ( now that is a wholllllleeeeee nother entry in itself ) so we have been going down
to our end of the street & exploring some of the woods
there . . . when I was telling
a fellow neighbor about this she said
we should come on down her way which so happens to be the complete opposite end of our street to see something . . . now I love love love . . . did I happen to mention I LOVE
exploring woods
& it has been forever & a day
since I have been able to so I gladly jumped at the chance . . . and when she showed me the "something" I about flipped
my lid! It was an area where cars
had been left & from the looks of it forgotten . . . most are
. . . well, crushed & crumpled . . . others had windows broken out, figuring this is most likely from other people finding them
. . . and for a mast majority of them nature
had taken back its land . . . briors, throns, small trees growing over & in them . . . I would have been content to explore
the area for a very very long time but there were signs of someone or someones making residence in a few of the vechicles down there
. . . but before we left we came across a spot that had a line of Yugo's, about four or five, in a row & inside one of them was a sprawled out canopy cargo parachute
!!!! Say what?????? Yeah
. . . but it gets better! In the back area of the Yugo there appeared to be more in a . . . mmmmm . . . sack? something of that nature . . .
My neighbors husband went down there
to check out our story . . . for some reason hearing a Yugo full of parachutes just sounded really funny
to him ( can't imagine why!) The one he brought back helped us to find out a little more about these parachutes . . . they are canopy cargo, four colors orange-green-brown-white . . . it had a date of 1977 on it as well as a green imparable ( yep that is exactly how it is spelled ) tag which gave us some more info . . . they were declared non-use due to being overaged & the inspector dated them in Jan. 1996!
What a crazy crazy crazy
find & I love it
! Now my neighbor & her husband are wanting to possibly sell them on ebay, there are a few canopy cargo parachutes on there already, but I want to hold off for just a wee bit . . . I noted the USAF stamp a few times on the chute . . . so I inquired to a friend of mine who has served with the Air Force
for over 26 years what the Air Force does with chutes no longer in use
. . . she explained they are destroyed
. . . so without revealing names or the location I told her about the chutes & she too was curious & asked for the green tag . . . she is gonna look into the what where when who & why & get back to me . . . I know I know I love to explore & I know I sound wishy washy here but I wanted to cover bases with the BASES before we touched, removed or sold any of these chutes . . . how horrible would that be to find such a great find & get in some major trouble for an innocent mistake, know what I mean jelly bean?
I do so love to explore areas
- find of the wall unusual things - and think about who was there and how it got there . . . this discovery thus far is the most quizzical one I have come across yet!

God, there's so much to thank You for; my life and family; provisions and blessings. But most important, thank You, God, for loving me. Amen

"The unfolding of Your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple."
~ Psalm 119:130 ESV

Word of the Week
ambiguous ~ adj: capable of being understood in two or more ways
We couldn't finish the project because of the ambiguous instructions.
A personal real life example of this word would be my nine year old daughter who thou favors writing & drawing with her left hand is able to with her right hand as well.

On Meow-day Jan. 09th, 2011
I popped this out to ya':
Use these clues
to find out the city:
* near Mount Fuji
* Emperor resides in the Imperial Palace
* capital of Japan
Did you think it was perhaps Tokyo? Welp if you did then you are . . . . CORRECT!!!!!

Two nuns were driving down a country road when they ran out of gas. They walked to a farmhouse and a farmer gave them some gasoline; but the only container he had was an old bedpan.
The nuns were happy to take whatever they were offered and returned to their car. As they were pouring the gasoline from the bedpan into the tank of their car, a minister drove by.
He stopped, rolled down his window and said, "Excuse me, sisters. I'm not of your religion, but I couldn't help admiring your faith....!"

"I have chosen the way of truth; Your judegments I have laid before me."

Female Stabbed at Food Lion in St. Mary's Square
So many sad sides to this story
. . . it is hard to know where to begin
. . . .
well I reckon I will start with this is so wrong, it just can't be right
. . .
secondly: "these are the people in my neighborhood" . . . where I live you can go through
this "cut through" & it will lead you right smack to this Food Lion
. . .
nextly & what is not stated in the article is all the girls involved in the attack, 16-15-13, are all Mothers ( yep, wee ones
having wee ones

This incident . . . mmmm
. . . truly it did not have to happen at all
. . . this is a prime example of individuals turning away from God
& being lead astray by the devil
& when people make excuses for such horrid actions then they too are being lead by the devil & his lies . . . The devil is The Thief who prowls like a lion seeking to devour & destroy & he is loving every lil bit of this . . .
God, You know the destructive attitudes that continue to hinder me. Thank You for teaching me the truth that heals and liberates me from them. Amen
