I WAITED patiently and expectantly for the Lord and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up out of a horrible pit ( a pit of tumult and of destruction ), out of the miry clay ( froth and slime), and set my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps and establishing my goings. And He has put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God.
~ Psalm 40:13
Lord, don't leave me; my God, don't go away. Quickly come and help me, my Lord and Savior.

Please take a moment, watch, listen, learn, live
Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the mind and healing to the body.
~Proverbs 16:24

~ Psalm 80:7 NASB

Second weekend
of Oct., Saturday mornin'
. . . was the beginning of an extremely cold
wet
weekend . . . rolled out of bed, shivered
my way to the kitchen to begin brewing up a pot of hot black liquid gold ( a.k.a.: MY coffee) . . . got it all ready, pushed the button, then turned to wait . . . spied one of our cats
sitting on the kitchen counter with her head cocked to one side as gingerly tapping the cabinet door with her paw . . . first thought "who you fooling? I am well aware YOU know how to open that cabinet!" . . . then the second thought hit me
. . . mumbled a "crapppppp" as I shuffled to the bathroom & retrieved a paper towel ( actually quite a number of them ) & return to the kitchen preparing myself to open the cabinet & be totally wigged out over a cockroach ( yeppers. they are here ) . . . open the cabinet door, papertowel hand posed high in the air as I scrunch my face in disgust
when I see it . . . but it ain't no cockroach so I squint & strain my eyes . . . rub my eyes . . . lean in closer as mumbling "what is THAT????" . . . .

It was M.I.T.C.H. ( Mouse In The Cabinet HELLO )
Yeppers, a house mouse
. . . a baby
house mouse . . . yeah I know, I have 5 cats! 5 CATS !
Mitch was a baby, I figure near about 2 weeks
old just due to the fur on him/her . . . located another one, but it was deceased
. . . never found Mom or Dad ( & no, the cats I am quite sure had NOT dealt with them ) Mitch was a cutey
I have got to say that . . . so tiny, but I think Mitch had gone for a few tumbles before I came across him . . . & thou my girls
loved him dearly we did not provide the care his/her Mama could of . . . 5 days after Mitch was discovered Mitch passed
. . . my youngest
really surprised me & warmed my heart
when she declared, " I am sad Mitch is gone but at least he/she was loved during those last few days." Honestly a mouse
in the house did not wig me out, now . . . cockroaches, they flip me out!
Okay, then we had the third weekend in Oct
. . . . actually rewind a few days back from the third weekend . . . sitting outside on the front porch smoking a cig in the moonlight
I could hear something shuffling about under the trailer, figured it was one of the stray cats UNTIL I heard the hissing . . . . mmm hhmmm, hissing & it wasn't a snake
hiss more like I-am-not-in-the-mood-to-be-messed-with-hiss which got me to quirk an eyebrow
as I put my cig out then scampered quite quickly
back into the trailer . . . Hub felt it was an opposum, perhaps an opposum with attitude . . . next day I was telling
some neighbors about this when . . . well, I wish I could describe their expressions but . . . I can't . . . extreme repulse is probably as close to what they showed . . . then they told
me about the experience they had with an opposum, apparently it got under their trailer crawled up into the insulation & passed on, which then shortly afterwards really stunk up their trailer, so badly they had to leave their trailer for a month
. . . I listened to that, as well on how they did not like opposums & I told them I like opposums, plus hear tale they eat cockroaches ( victory is at hand! ) . . . so no harm, no foul
. . . right? wrong-o! No foul eh? Well, a few days after the "hissing" we began to get this smell in our bedroom, each day it got stronger & stronger as it moved up the rooms . . . our bedroom, the bathroom & the hallway were the areas with the strongest scent . . . to me it had a fishy smell . . . Hub announced "I believe something has died
under the trailer." . . . . great!

Oh no the trailer has eatten my Hub!!!!
I am soooooooo soooooo very Blessed
& extremely grateful
for my
Hub
! He is a brave brave man! The day he adventured under the trailer it happened to be one of our warmer
days, near 80, so it was extra unpleasantly warm under the trailer ( & a bit ripper too!) especially with his work overalls on . . .

Sure enough, the oppossum was up under there . . . find a nook, crawled on up & passed
on in the insulation . . .

( the opposum remains are in the bag for obvious reasons . . . Hub did make a comment about it could be a Halloween decoration but we BOTH knew that was just a kid 'em )
he/she wasn't a big one or so we gather from what was found . . . I had considered having rice that evenin'
but the site of all those magots
. . . well, my taste had changed drastically

My job as Hub scooched, slithered & squirm under the trailer was 1) keep my "grossing out" comments to a minium 2) cut off strips of insulation for him to replace . . . and look at that! I failed both jobs horribly!

The weather is getting a bit brisker, especially in the mornin'
. . . so I have taken to cooking
up meals in the mornin'
to help heat up the house over us having to turn the oil on . . . the other day "meatloaf" came to mind . . . you know, I have never ever cooked a meatloaf before
. . . . so I did a quick search
& came across a relatively simple
recipe & wa-ha . . .

It didn't come out half bad if I do so say myself! Came out much flatter then I recall my Mother's but eh . . . meatloaf pancakes
might just become the new rage
. . . oh & just in case you were wondering
. . . no the loaf has no mouse or opposum what so ever in it

Recall
me mentioning
about the small acorns my neighbor has that the squirrels are going crazy mad over? Thought I would show you some compare pix

Last sunflower & pumkins a neighbor gave to us ( she is a sweetpea! )
Glory Be To God & Praise Sweet Jesus!

I would truly love
to own a small farm
one day & for the greater part of it just be growing pumkins & sunflowers
Oh, God, forgive my sins and bring light to my darkest secrets. Heal me, my God, and set me free. Thank You for helping me. Amen
~ May you ALWAYS be Blessed & may you ALWAYS Bless others ~

Hey Ladies
with the sweet nature of my girls
. . .it also keeps me on my toes
& I thought about the idea of some nice bread to make some tasty sandwiches
I am so sorry Alesia to be ready about your first meatloaf, but I had to laugh for that is exactly something that would happen to me . . . truth be told I can not tell you how many times I have caught fire cooking
I envy of your cats! I believe ours were perhaps tough lil cookies at one time but now . . . they are really soft
We have a stray cat outside that catchs mice & shows me them, but I just explain to her I know the drill . . . act one way when you are outside but the minute you come in
Ladies
stopped by! It has made my day, Thank YOU
or forget a pan full of fresh cinnamon buns on the stove top, turn on the wrong element and watch the glass shatter and the buns ignite in a huge flame?
but it's never boring. LOL
Alesia
Whoa!! Talk about hot crossed buns there eh
It is probably best I don't tell you about my cooking adventures
sometimes I reckon I just get to INTO my cooking
But I so loved reading about yours!
Thank YOU so much for sharing them!
