In my entry  for June 23rd I mentioned I am attempting  a small garden on the side of the house where I had a . . . mmmmm . . . hhhhmmm . . . mmmmm . . .  a "mishap" with a pack of carrots  & parsnip . . . thought I would try to take pix  to give you an idea . . . it looks worse in person  . . .

It is a nice thick row on near the buttom, but the rain pushed many up & out & about like crazy mad

 

I was going to at first try to pluck some out here & there ( I am a picker person, I like picking at things ) but after about 15 minutes  & being uncertain  of what route I wanted to take I have come to the conclusion . . . carrots & parsnip are not going to be for me  !!! The seeds are too teeny  & I . . well, I am not that patient  . . . so I am going to pluck them out  . . . still got some corn  there as well as pea sugar snaps . . . had watermelon  but moved them up to the front entrance . . . I am really wanting to get some pumpkin  seeds & give those a whirl . . .

The other nite  Hub came home late due to stopping at our storage unit & emptying it out of all our contents  . . . wasn't much in there for we had sold  most it off within the last year  , but what was there was some cheerished items  . . . we just caught up with storage, they were getting ready to auction the items off  . . . wouldv'e we missed the stuff? Yeah, but they are just material items so you live you learn eh  . . . Glory Be To God & Praise Jesus    we were able to catch up with them . . . going through one box  I did find an ole photo album yeilding some pix  of me as a kid . . . found a few of my Daddy's garden  . . .

I do miss my Daddy  & that garden . . .

 God, thank You that I don't have to live under the oppression of these issues any longer. Thank You for freeing me and loving me, Lord God. Amen

I wouldn't pluck out those seeds... let
them grow. They aren't really in the way of anything, are they? Who knows... they might be your best plants ever! Your Dad's garden looks like my Dad's garden uses to look. Amazing ... weren't they? Take care and have a great day!

I agree with Melody. Let them grow and see what God gives you. Love the pic of you when a kid. The plants in his garden look amazing! Must have been some great fertilizer!! I'll post about the new job today. See ya & have a really great weekend!

I am not going to pluck all the carrots & parsnip but I do plan on removing a majority of them . . in the area I show they are fairly clustered together, need to stream line them & I am not that patient . . . but for the ones the rain scattered about, I am really considering leaving those & see if they survive me or not . . . a lot of them scatter into the small sunflower section we got so I think I will give them a whirl over there

My Daddy was a farm boy & had an exceptionally green green thumb . . . in the above pix the area was not a real huge area but he got so much to go in that space it looked like the Jungle I was poking about my larger tomato plants the other day & got that tomato plant smell on me . . . that is the smell we kids had ALL SUMMER long growing up
