"We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us - they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady. Then, when that happens, we are able to hold our heads high no matter what happens and know that all is well, for we know how dearly God loves us, and we feel this warm love everywhere within us because God has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love."

"Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the mind and healing to the body."

"Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth."
~ Psalm 124:8 NKJV

drives me a bit crazy
with it's "policies" . . .
I caught some sort of kootie
. . . have a lowgrade fever, joints are aching, coughing up stuff that . . . well, the stuff coming out of my lungs & nose
would make for a worthy science fair project
. . . I am in the early stages of whatever I have, does not warrant going to a doctor
but as well seeing I work in the Bakery
with food Walmart made it clear if you have an cold/illness you should not
come into work . . . logically for concern of contamination of products as well as making others ill . . . makes sense right? mmmmm, yes it does UNTIL you have to call
in ill . . . you have to call
a 1-800 number . . . it sounds silly but truth be told this covers the employee really smartly, this way if your store says you never called
in you have the 1-800 number & confirmation code
to help back you up . . . after putting in all the numbers they require you too ( & let me tell you there is quite a few ) they then transfer you to your store . . . where once they answer the phone ( it can take up to 15 minutes for this at the store I work ) you then need to speak to a member of management . . . I was very Blessed
today to speak to one of the more better Managers but yet after telling her I would not be in & explaining why I was told this would be an "unexcused absence" . . . . ???
??? . . . what?
I called the 1-800 number, I got my confirmation code, I spoke to management, I even called out 6 hours
before I was scheduled . . . yes, but it is still considered an "unexcused absence" . . . ????
what
????? . . .
You are only allowed 3 absences
within a year period
. . . mmmm, okay
. . . I have been working here since Feb. & it was in May when I had to call
out due to my husband having not an agreeable moment
with the meds the doctors
had him on . . . so this is my second absence & I have germs
. . .
. . . I know they have policies to protect themselves & the employees but sometimes . . mmmm-mmmm-mmmmmm
No less then 10 minutes after calling
Walmart I got a call
from Walmart . . . this time from my Bakery Manager who asked if I was coming in . . . ??
?? . . . re-explained to her . . . she said "Oh well I had permission to call you in early due to we are possibly closing the store early today" . . .
communication is not a key factor with Walmart
( the store may be closing early due to Hurricane Irene
sending a bit of nasty weather our way )
God, Your flawless character and wonderful name always perfectly provide for all my needs. Your name is above every other, and I praise You forever! Amen
