I WAITED patiently and expectantly for the Lord and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up out of a horrible pit ( a pit of tumult and of destruction ), out of the miry clay ( froth and slime), and set my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps and establishing my goings. And He has put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God.
~ Psalm 40:13
Lord, don't leave me; my God, don't go away. Quickly come and help me, my Lord and Savior.

Please take a moment, watch, listen, learn, live

I pay to my government the things that are due to my government, and I pay to God the things that are due to God.
~ Matthew 22:21

The morning
of the evening
that we traveled up to the Storage area to retrieve the auctioned units, Hub & I were out in the yard moving the fridge & mowers around ( you may recall Hub had Ebay’d these items, the winning bidders were on their way to pick up the items ) . . . Thankfully we had a stand up dolly to help move the items but Hub & I began talking
about how a four wheel floor dolly would have made the moving sooooo much easier . . . But alas somewhere, somehow
along time the one we had had vanished, so we mentioned that down the line we would have to look into getting another one . . . So we traveled up to the Storage area to empty the units & in the one that held the couches, chair & picture
what do we find? A four wheel flour dolly!!! God is truly amazing
!!! Thank You my dear Lord & Praise Sweet Jesus!!!

Okay . . . Now onto the unit that held all those personal files
. . .
I located the website to this lawyer
& had writ him an e-mail
but have not heard anything back from him . . . Talking with my Mother
I told her of the events, she called
a secretary to a lawyer
who has worked for my Mother
before, the secretary called
me back & was of great help
. . They tried to located the man but discovered a few things . . . One that he had at least 10 different addresses listed, that he was not barred from the bar but basically dismissed, & he has not done any work or been heard of for at least the last year
, she felt he had forfeited his business & just took off . . She explained any respectable lawyer
would never ever just pack up the files
& place them in a storage unit, must less let it go up for auction . . . Due to the contents within these files
- being extremely personal information on people wishing to obtain citizenship - the secretary said the Lawyer
she worked with suggested a few things . . We could try to write
to the gentleman & give him ten days to pick them up, but she was doubtful we would achieve the results we desired in this fashion . . Or call Homeland Security
& discuss our finds with them & see if they were interested in them . . .
I tried to call
Homeland Security
but there was no answer ( I called at 3:30 & I believe they close at 4 ) . . . So I went through some of the files
a bit more, particularly the gentleman's papers he left behind . . . He left an awful lot of personal information in this small box
, but what caught my eye was that he had his name legally changed
. . That in itself was not a huge red flag
, it was that he was apparently still using his birth name in many situations that had me thinking . . . well, hhmmmm
. . .
I find it funny that before we did this we made the vow
that if we came across any personal information we would attempt to return it to the owners . . & what do we find in one of the two first units we buy? A slew of personal information! I am talking no less then 500 people are in these boxes!!! Goodness gracious that is a lot of personal info!!!
The girls
had run over to a neighbors house
to play with the young girl
who is visiting there . . . When I went to get the girls
I sat & spoke
with the neighbor, relaying the items & events & thoughts . . . I knew our neighbors were enlisted with the military but I never paid any mind to what they did . . . Turns out they are military police
, one of the dogs
they had ( it recently passed away at the age of 15 ) was a retired dog from the Bomb Unit
!!! She too thought it was funny the vow
& then having these items . . The more I talked
the more she listened & asked questions
, then spoke to her husband who asked more questions
then requested to see the files
if possible . . . I gladly obliged . . . He came over & I showed them the huge amount of boxes
we had, over 18 white cardboard file boxes
alone!!! I picked a random box
. . . Plopped it up on top of another stack, flipped the lid off so he could take a gander
, he skimmed over a few files
, took one out, turned a few papers, then walked out onto the yard, took his phone
out & placed a call, came back read
some info on a few of the papers aloud to the other person on the phone, went back to the yard & talked some more before ending his conversation with the other person . . . Then he told me that the Secret Service was very interested in these papers!!!!!!

Like us he agreed that was way too much personal information to be laying around in such a manner . . . He was also doubting
the authenticy of this lawyer
for 1) doing this ( files
discarded into a storage unit ) & 2) having two identities
. . . It also was a concern to him that these people had gone to this lawyer
to become citizens or receive help with legal matters & this lawyer
discards their info so carelessly making it easy for ID theft . . . He mentioned that just in the one file
he looked over he saw the person was seeking asylum, which was taken very seriously in his line of work . . . He mentioned he would be talking more with the individual he had just spoken to & they would probably be getting in contact with us within a few days, unless I found something I thought was very important . . . He explained the papers
may be nothing at all, but it was worth looking over
, & at least this department would be able to dispose of the papers properly
. . . I explained I did not want to look like this paranoid over dramatic
sort of person ( thou I am a worry
wart ) . . . He assured me that it was right to show concern, it was always better to be safe then sorry . . . .
To me it is a HUGE relief
that these personal information papers
are going to a place where they have the ability to destroy
them . . . In a nutshell, I am not sure
we stuck to our vow of returning papers but I do feel we have done the correct & proper thing . . .
