"We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us - they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady. Then, when that happens, we are able to hold our heads high no matter what happens and know that all is well, for we know how dearly God loves us, and we feel this warm love everywhere within us because God has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love."

"Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the mind and healing to the body."

"You planted a flag to rally Your people, an unfurled flag to look to for courage."
~ Psalm 60:4 MSG

I did a strawberry
theme a bit back when I had purchased these two gorgeous strawberry plants that Wal-mart
was selling . . . it has been some time
since I purchased those plants & to tell you the truth
. . . mmm, the plants ain't so beautiful anymore
. . .
well I tried but I really did not give it a full fledge effort
. . . they are still out there & have a few berries
. . .the past ones the plants presented got quickly nibbled
on by some critter that scampers about in the dark of the night
. . . not sure
what is munching them thou I suspect it could be a local skunk ( Hub saw a white one out there one nite ) . . . then again we also got racoons & opposums as well
. . . but the other day I noted a whole lotta slug
slime around the plants soooo it could be some slugs as well
. . . anyhoot I have given up the thought of berries
for ourselves & have opted to let the critters enjoy
them as much as possible . . . . did you know that the strawberry is not a true berry at all? Yeah, blew my mind away when I read this tib-bit Fragaria - Wikipedia . . . .

Right now, matching to the new blog theme, we are in the process of growing some watermelons
. . . love love LOVE
me watery-melons
. . . will they grow? mmmm, reckon we will have to wait & see
. . . speaking of seeing
. . . have you seen the square watermelon ? Wowzers on the true sticker shock for these cuties!!!!!!!!!! I will stick to the regular shape thank you!
The other day for Father's Day
we got Hub a Watermelon
shaped ice cream cake made by Friendly's called a Wattamelon Roll . . . we hadn't one of these since when our son turned
4 years old & yep that was quite some time back
fer sure . . . it was really neat
to see our youngest
go on about this was her newest favorite ice cream cake

Have you ever heard of a Doughnut Peach
? I hadn't until we were in the grocery
store the other day strolling about the Produce Section . . . that is when my youngest saw them, Doughnut Peaches, which resemble a peach
that has been
run over
. . . they have this squished appearance . . . a cute
squished . . . well actually
maybe a more squashed appearance to them . . . so being adventurous we decided to give them a try & I gotta say . . . . love love LOVE
them!!!!
So we did a bit of a internet
search on them & found out they are known as Saturn Peach
but also called Doughnut Peaches & a few other names . . .
God, I look up to Your banner - my focus on Your unfailing character. You are always my protection and hope. Thank You for leading me to triumph! Amen
