I remember when I heard something at the back door once and thought it was the cat. I opend the door and there was a possum eating the cat food and it hissed loudly at me. eric: I was weak today, as blodd test result was ready and nurse called me doctor urged to meet on next Monday morning. She said it's liver problem !

"Even thou we know things, we need to be refreshed" . . . for me it has been I know God will take care of us, the Bible tells us not to worry, yet I still worry . . . I have discovered the cause for worry is not trusting God, the cure for worry is trusting God . . . a problem is we kinda trust ourselves more, we need to figure things out, we want to know, we need to have a handle, we want to know the outcome . . . I think we take ease from knowing, & not so much in trusting . . the balance is do what we can do, trust God to do what we can't . . .
 
I have always prayed to God to give us a house to make into a home, God has granted my prayer! Glory Be To God & Praise Sweet Jesus!   But the problem I was ( & at times still am ) having is it was not what I wanted, it is not the house I was wanting at all . . . the past few days I have been listening over & over to a few teaching CD's & even thou I knew this, I needed to be refreshed . . . God will provide for us, He will answer our Prayers, it may not be what we think we need but it is what God knows we need!
 
Yes we have a place now! Indeed that is good news but I did not want to post anything for until  . . .  well, to say the place is disheartening would be putting it lightly & I did not want to be discussing it with such a horribly negative attitude, does this make sense? I needed time to stop my pity party & really see what God is providing for us . . . when I prayed for a place I was picturing it maybe needing minor fixing up, you know - paint, cosmetic, a bit of elbow grease, little things . . . this place needs much more then just paint! We have obtained a single wide trailer that was made in 1970 . . . I am not sure about the prior residents but can only gather impressions from what was left behind & the condition of the place . . . my thought is they were poor & they did not have the funds or knowledge to fix things . . . see to me thou you may be poor -- you don't have to be nasty poor . . . I think who ever resided there got to that point of not caring at all & decided to become trailer trash . . . please, if you leave in a trailer do not take that term to be offensive, for that is not my intention!!! . . . like I said you can be poor, I am, but you don't have to be dirty & nasty! You don't have to dispose of trash on or in your property & live like that!  . . . you don't have to act a certain negative way . . . you do not have to become a product of your environment!
 
When we went in after purchasing the place we got to get a "better" view of the place . . . Vodka bottles ( some empty, some not ) were every where along with used condoms, trashed furniture that was used as ashtrays, holes punched in walls & ceilings, two windows were totally busted out, every other window in there was either cracked or had shots through them, a pentagram is craved into one wall, little silly writings on door frames, closets, walls, leaks were never fixed but instead bowls placed under or carpet put over, all the vents are located in the floor & apparently this was used to dispose a huge abundance of trash . . . I gather things got bad for these individuals & they become low emotionally . . .
 
I could not ever express to you how much I cried over this place . . . it was horrible knowing this was what we could afford, this was the only place we had to go, it was heartbreaking . . . I felt so beaten . . .
 
Hub & I visited it a few times before we brought the kids up to begin work . . . I am so very Blessed with my children! Glory Be To God & Praise Sweet Jesus!   I was so concerned of what their reaction was going to be, I knew I would not be able to be the strength in this situation . . you know what? They were my strength! Glory Be To God & Praise Sweet Jesus!
 
Last weekend we spent the weekend up there removing all the furniture that was left behind . . . it was bad . . . ripping up areas that had a bit of carpeting, taking closet doors off, bombing it to get rid of the creepy crawlies, removing outlet covers ( discovered this was the condo area for the creepy crawlies )  scrubbing, tearing up rotting flooring, removing rotting ceiling that is leaking from a horrible roof ( about twenty feet of the roof needs to be repaired ) . . . we spent a lot of hours there, it was so cold, damp & disgusting . . . we got a lot done but it is just a small dent in what is still needed, but to tell you the truth the place already looks 100% better then it did . . . I tried to take pictures but my camera died! Go fig!
 
Sometimes it still hurts, this place . . . but I know that is the Devil having fun making Hades with me & my emotions . . . for I now realize God has provided us a House to make into a Home! Yes we are poor but it does not mean we have to act in a nasty trashy negative manner . . . we can make this place look better . . . the area is a "interesting" area . . . when we moved into where we reside presently we thought, "well we can't get much lower then this! " This place has proved that different . . . but that is okay for my Hub pointed out to me something I say to others "We don't have to be a product of our environment, our environment can become a product of us!" I honestly feel God is showing us we can do that!
 
 God, thank You for always being ready to help me. Please increase my wisdom by continually reminding me to seek You. Amen.
