"See a penny. Pick it up. All day long you'll have good luck."
I am not a superstious sort sooooo  . . . but I do believe finding a penny  is a lucky find!

And yesterday I was lucky  . . . I found a penny! And a nickel!

Quite some time back . . . where we resided  before moving here . . . I used to take walks  around the neighborhood on a frequent basis . . . I began collecting cans  in attempt to clean up  the neighborhood & turn them in for some pocket change  . . . I began noticing a penny here, a penny there ( and sometimes even bigger coinage ) so I began to pick those up as well . . . my sister would jokingly tease  me about this until one day she read an article  of a gentleman who did the same but he kicked it up a notch! . . . he would begin walking  just about every where he could & as walking looked for "pocket spills" . . . he even would check the vending machines, Coin Star slots, etc etc . . . this embarrassed  his children something fierce but it never stopped him from walking  & picking . . . at the end of the year  he tallied  all his "finds" . . . guess how much lose change he had found & collected? . . . . . near bouts $9,000!!!!!!!!!! . . . wowzers  !!!! I suspect he had not only plumped up  his financial status with the finds but probably slimmed down  his body size as well with all the walking & collecting!!!

I did a quick search  on "See a penny. Pick it up. All the day you'll have good luck." & found out a couple of interesting  things . . . for one it is believed that the saying orginally stated "See a pin." but changed at the beginning of the 20th century . . .  but what I found more interesting was a few articles about why people pick up pennys . . . In God We Trust . . . right there on the penny  & these individuals take this words seriously ( as well we all should ) . . . & I smiled  when these articles noted the individuals ALWAYS said thank you to our Lord  when they found pennies & so forth . . . smiled  ? Yeah  . . . whenever I find any money ( or other lil item ) I have always gave God Praise  . . . I am not sure why  it began just know I do it . . . just kinda summed it up to a quirky  habbit of mine . . . but now  . . . now I am thinking the Holy Spirit has nudged me to do so . . . I like this nudge!!!!!

 God, help me to love You so much that I automatically seek and obey You in every circumstance. Thank You for showing me the way to victory. Amen
