I remember when I heard something at the back door once and thought it was the cat. I opend the door and there was a possum eating the cat food and it hissed loudly at me. eric: I was weak today, as blodd test result was ready and nurse called me doctor urged to meet on next Monday morning. She said it's liver problem !

~ Bible In A Year ~

I get distracted  wayyyyy too easily! ADD? ADHD? Uh, no!!! There is so much around us, so much going on, physically & emotionally it is easy to have one thing in mind then find yourself in a totally opposite direction  . . . my original intention was at the beginning of the year to post  this neat bit I found but . . . well  distractions!
 
Anyway on to my entry eh  . . . resolutions? goals? are they not kinda sorta one & the same? hhhhmmm  not sure . . . with the new year  upon us many people make resolutions, myself generally lean against doing that  . . . I have good intentions, know many areas I want to improve  but I tend to slack off relatively quickly & forget my original plan  . . . this year thou I have a few areas I truly desire to conquer & improve! My New Years Wish to ALL was that we ALL become stronger Spiritually, Physically, Emotionally & Financially . . . and with these strengths we use the wisdom & heart the Lord  has graced us with! I really believe if we become stronger Spiritually the rest will follow  . . . For a bit of time now I have been reading my Family Bible, honestly there are areas there that are really difficult for me to follow so it makes reading a bit hard  . . . but I also know if I read them I will begin to understand bits a bit more, & by getting through the areas I have trouble with when I come across others . . .  it all will click  ! I discovered a box  in our storage unit a few months back  . . . it held a Family Bible my Mother  gave me back in 1993  but as well held a Bible I received in my youth when I had attended Sunday School . . . in the back of this Bible it had an area telling how you can read the Bible within one year! AWESOME! To be truthful I don't read my Bible every day/nite . . . there are times when I am in one section I can do some massive amount of reading, then there are times when I am not following it very well & I struggle with a few sentences over & over & over  . . . the way this method has it broken down reading the Bible within a year will be no problem at all!

Why do I wish to read the Bible within a year  ? Just something I am wanting to do  . . . maybe it will help me understand some things better, maybe it will help me be more patient, maybe it will help me be more focused . . . not sure  but I do know I am wishing to do this! One thing I want to point out . . . by my reading the Bible it will not make me a better righteous person . . . that is like slapping a bumper sticker on your car, or wearing a necklace/bracelet, or just saying "Praise God" . . . these are not your "golden ticket" . . . . by my reading & applying & sharing & learning & believing & having Faith that is what will help me become a better righteous person! And that, my friends, is my ultimate Resolution Goal!
