I WAITED patiently and expectantly for the Lord and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up out of a horrible pit ( a pit of tumult and of destruction ), out of the miry clay ( froth and slime), and set my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps and establishing my goings. And He has put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God.
~ Psalm 40:13
Lord, don't leave me; my God, don't go away. Quickly come and help me, my Lord and Savior.

Please take a moment, watch, listen, learn, live
Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the mind and healing to the body.
~Proverbs 16:24

We thank You, God, we thank You - your Name is our favorite word; your mighty words are all we talk about.

Hub turned in the last batch of our collected cans
for 2008
. . . he turned in 42 pounds, they tare 1 pound & at .30 cents a pound our check came to $12.30 . . .
kinda of deceiving when you see all these large bags then get what they are worth, but ah well
. . . something is better then nothing . . . anyhoot, another "resolution" of mine this year is to be more organized & dedicated on saving & tithing
not really but who knows what we may find at the Thrift Store . . . the girls are in desperate need of shoes & pants, especially with the bitter winter winds
whipping us all about this time of year
. . . we shall make it a Challenging Treasure Hunt!
child, & the Mother was taking the kids to go to the Thrift Store to get shoes for them . . . the lightbulb
went off above my head as my eyes & heart opened a bit more . . . why not? My girls are lucky to get two pairs a shoe through out the year . . . generally they get a new pair if they out grow or wear out the previous pair, more often then not they wear the one pair out before they out grow it . . . we are Blessed to have a Thrift Store just a bit up the road from where we reside, aprx 2.60 miles . . . when the weather is nice I can easily walk
about there to scope
it out between trips & I bet I will find oodles of cans
on that journey!
up to the bank that the Recycling Center signs out checks from . . . cash it, sort it out to tithing, saving, spending & then adventure up to the Thrift Store to do some bargain searching . . . honestly I am kinda sorta excited
about this adventure . . . my hopes
is not only to find suitable clothing for my girls but maybe . . .just maybe . . . we are helping to show them some money sense . . . know what I mean?
Oh I got to tell ya' this!
both of my girls
were sick
. . . again
. . . it is this stomach virus that is going around but then again never seems to leave
. . . so I was scrounging around for buckets as mumbling "I really need to get us more buckets!" . . . the next morning
, Jan. 1st, as I went out to begin collecting
guess what I found? A BUCKET!!!!! Not just any bucket mind you . . . a blue bucket! Blue happens to me my oldest girls
favorite color!
LOVE IT!
