"We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us - they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady. Then, when that happens, we are able to hold our heads high no matter what happens and know that all is well, for we know how dearly God loves us, and we feel this warm love everywhere within us because God has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love."

"Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the mind and healing to the body."

"He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God."
~ Psalm 50:23 NIV

So you have perhaps watched
the videos I placed up
before this entry
& now you are perhaps thinking . . . . mmm, what do parachutes & Yugo's have in common?
Welllllllll
. . . I wonder that myself . . .
see where I reside we got a wee bit of woods
over there, and over there, and hey some more over there as well . . . splotches I guess would be the best way to describe it . . . my oldest daughter
is wanting to make a Home Zombie
Movie ( now that is a wholllllleeeeee nother entry in itself ) so we have been going down
to our end of the street & exploring some of the woods
there . . . when I was telling
a fellow neighbor about this she said
we should come on down her way which so happens to be the complete opposite end of our street to see something . . . now I love love love . . . did I happen to mention I LOVE
exploring woods
& it has been forever & a day
since I have been able to so I gladly jumped at the chance . . . and when she showed me the "something" I about flipped
my lid! It was an area where cars
had been left & from the looks of it forgotten . . . most are
. . . well, crushed & crumpled . . . others had windows broken out, figuring this is most likely from other people finding them
. . . and for a mast majority of them nature
had taken back its land . . . briors, throns, small trees growing over & in them . . . I would have been content to explore
the area for a very very long time but there were signs of someone or someones making residence in a few of the vechicles down there
. . . but before we left we came across a spot that had a line of Yugo's, about four or five, in a row & inside one of them was a sprawled out canopy cargo parachute
!!!! Say what?????? Yeah
. . . but it gets better! In the back area of the Yugo there appeared to be more in a . . . mmmmm . . . sack? something of that nature . . .
My neighbors husband went down there
to check out our story . . . for some reason hearing a Yugo full of parachutes just sounded really funny
to him ( can't imagine why!) The one he brought back helped us to find out a little more about these parachutes . . . they are canopy cargo, four colors orange-green-brown-white . . . it had a date of 1977 on it as well as a green imparable ( yep that is exactly how it is spelled ) tag which gave us some more info . . . they were declared non-use due to being overaged & the inspector dated them in Jan. 1996!
What a crazy crazy crazy
find & I love it
! Now my neighbor & her husband are wanting to possibly sell them on ebay, there are a few canopy cargo parachutes on there already, but I want to hold off for just a wee bit . . . I noted the USAF stamp a few times on the chute . . . so I inquired to a friend of mine who has served with the Air Force
for over 26 years what the Air Force does with chutes no longer in use
. . . she explained they are destroyed
. . . so without revealing names or the location I told her about the chutes & she too was curious & asked for the green tag . . . she is gonna look into the what where when who & why & get back to me . . . I know I know I love to explore & I know I sound wishy washy here but I wanted to cover bases with the BASES before we touched, removed or sold any of these chutes . . . how horrible would that be to find such a great find & get in some major trouble for an innocent mistake, know what I mean jelly bean?
I do so love to explore areas
- find of the wall unusual things - and think about who was there and how it got there . . . this discovery thus far is the most quizzical one I have come across yet!

God, there's so much to thank You for; my life and family; provisions and blessings. But most important, thank You, God, for loving me. Amen
